Who We Are

Our website address is: https://insightnotes.net. This blog is operated by INSIGHTNOTES Network, a digital media entity based in South Korea.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, as well as the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help detect spam.

An anonymized string (a hash) generated from your email address may be sent to the Gravatar service (a profile picture service by Automattic) to check if you use it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After your comment is approved, your profile picture will be visible to the public alongside your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, please avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors to the site may download and extract location data from such images.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt in to saving your name, email address, and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so you don’t have to fill in your details again when leaving another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you visit our login page, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you log in, we will set up several cookies to save your login information and screen display preferences. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me,” your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out, the login cookies will be removed.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie contains no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after one day.

Subscription via Email

If you choose to subscribe to our blog updates, you will need to provide your email address. This address will be securely stored and used solely for sending you notifications about new blog posts and related content from Digital Insight.

Subscriptions are managed using a plugin that securely stores your email address on our WordPress server. Email delivery is handled via secure SMTP through Zoho Mail, our email hosting provider. We do not share your email address with any third parties for marketing purposes. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in each email.

Embedded Content from Other Websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g., videos, images, articles). Embedded content from other websites behaves as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with the embedded content—especially if you have an account and are logged in to those websites.

Who We Share Your Data With

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

We may use third-party services, such as spam detection (e.g., Akismet) or analytics (e.g., Google Analytics), to help operate our blog. These providers may have access to limited data but are contractually obligated to protect it in compliance with privacy laws.

How Long We Retain Your Data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This allows us to recognize and approve follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

If user registration is enabled in the future, we will securely store any user profile data provided. Registered users (if any) will be able to view, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except for their username). Website administrators can also view and edit that information.

Email subscribers’ addresses are retained as long as they remain subscribed. You may unsubscribe at any time.

What Rights You Have Over Your Data

If you have an account on this site, have left comments, or subscribed to our email updates, you may request an exported file of your personal data, including any information you have provided.

You may also request the erasure of your personal data. This does not include any data we are required to retain for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where Your Data Is Sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Your email address, if you subscribe, is securely stored through our subscription plugin and delivered using Zoho Mail. We do not transfer your data to third-party marketing platforms. We take appropriate security measures to safeguard your data.

Legal Basis for Processing

We collect and process personal data based on the following legal grounds:

  • Consent – for subscriptions and communications;
  • Legitimate interests – for spam detection, analytics, and blog operations;
  • Legal obligations – where applicable.
